The band is influenced by 60-70’s psychedelic rock, 80’s Post Punk and Acid house mainly, but is able to feel the Japanese musical element as spice like “wasabi”. Hiroki & Sara moved to the Country of Georgia in 2021, and are playing as Duo in Tbilisi. First gig was with Tete Noise.

As coconuts hit the ground, music can begin!
deathbycoconut is an experimental group that was created in 2015, from the intersection of three post-underground Bucharest artists, that were in completely different projects, at the time. They are Fraga (vocals, bass, keyboards), Nitchji oh (vocals, guitar, bass & keyboards) and Domnul Valentin (drums). They were joined by Alex Bala in 2019 and most recently by Horațiu Șerbanescu, both on keyboards.
Their musical territory stretches between kraut-rock and post punk, to hip-hop, electronic and pop, in a kind of hybrid that has been described as immersive repercursive.
Their performances are both intense and chaotic and keep both ears and eyes glued to what is happening, as all instruments entangle on a truly transcendental journey.
They have performed in Bucharest as well as in Berlin, Bruxelles and Charleroi, as part of Europalia Festival.
Great things are coming for this band as they meditate everyday and now you can manifest them in your life.
